Stone, Jeff. 2005. THE FIVE ANCESTORS: TIGER. New York: Random House. ISBN 0375830715
Set in seventeenth century China, TIGER is an exciting fast-paced action story starring Fu ("Tiger") and his
brothers. Along with his fellow "brothers" (they're all orphans), Fu has been raised as a warrior monk in a secret
temple--Cangzhen Temple--by a grandmaster monk. Each boy has been trained in a different fighting style (kung fu). As the
story unfolds, the five young boys (ranging in age from elven to thirteen) are hiding in a terra cotta water barrel while
an invading force led by the disgruntled former pupil Ying murders the monks of the temple. Ying is an angry young man who
hates the grand master and blames him for the sour note his life has taken. The five young warriors flee from their temple,
but the youngest Fu is unwilling to let the secret dragon scrolls stay in the hands of Ying. He retrieves the scrolls, and
then the adventure really begins.
